related websites pluginAre you frustrated with paid advertising where you get less traffic than what you paid for?  Do you want your posts to be advertised forever instead of a certain time period for free?  There is a cool plugin called Related Websites Plugin from Blog Traffic Exchange that lets you display any one of your posts to other blogger’s page with relevant topics in the entire blogosphere that use the same plugin.  So far this is the most out-of-box organic method of building traffic I’ve seen.

How Related Websites Plugin Works

related websites plugin

This plugin requires php5 and curl.  This is what it looks like in action from one of my posts How To Change Gravatar Size In Thematic Comments.  Related Websites Plugin gives you the freedom to customize how you want the links displayed using HTML.  It cycles  relevent links from other blogs every 24 hours right into my own post.  Now after installing this plugin, you will need  to request a private key from Kevin at kevin@blogtrafficexchange.com for your links to show up in other blogs.  Thanks to an instant reply I got from Kevin, key request is free of charge.  You also get to have your own Related Posts section as a bonus after you activate your private key.

There is also a Pro version of  Related Websites Plugin by the way which is $20/month or $200/year.  Upgrading to pro gives you the option to track link details of the traffic you get like the number of posts currently linking to you.  Another cool thing for upgrading to pro is if you feel like being greedy and dont want to share links at all with your competitors, you can black list competitor websites you dont want to give traffic to.   That’s right, you can sit back and relax now getting all that free blog traffic while you let them work their own efforts :D

This has been my favorite plugin so far.  At least I get some load off trying to build traffic on my own.  Now I have a Related Websites Plugin to assist me while I keep my readers happy with lots of relevent link content :)

Oh well .. Moot Point now –

Kevin rejected me from the BTE program this evening so I deactivated and deleted the plug-ins from 2 sites I applied for a key .. I have no intention or promoting other bloggers content in an exchange I am not welcome in – but, wish all who participate good luck.

PS yeah ;) Kevin has RT’ed some stuff before and is always in my “Super-Tweeters” twitter list for people who RT my posts, and if there are more RT’s I usually favor everybody and eventually give them some #FF shout out and #BloggerLUV.

For this plugin to work, it must be used by many many bloggers. If I only use it, I will actually send traffic to other blogs, for free. Is that right?
